About me, written in the third person:

Dana May is a self-taught, unprofessional artist who lives in Alphabet City.  Her work spans experimental abstract painting to figurative traditions in still life, landscape, and portraiture.  She does not limit herself, because all mediums and practices inform and build off of each other.  Some of her favorite subjects include her friends, 6BC garden, flowers, and commissioned pet portraits.  Her impulse to create stems from the meditative power of painting and wanting to celebrate those in her life and beauty.  When she isn’t painting, she is the guitarist and vocalist in the noise rock band Childless and in her solo project wtfacch, plays both chess and backgammon, and represents tenants in housing court.
